UNDER 5’s MINI ADVENTURERS
At The Red Forest School Mini Adventurers is designed for children to learn through natural play in the outdoors with their parents/carers. With all sessions following the guidelines of the forest school principles and ethos.
Sessions ideal for children from walking to 5 years – Every Thursday during term time – 10-11am
At the start of the session meet “Bobby the Badger”. This leads into a mixed hour of guided activities and child led activities. The activity themes change each week and are available alongside activities such as den building, mini beast hunting, playing in the mud kitchen, playing games, story telling, pond dipping, climbing, swinging in the trees and more.
Sessions are tailored to develop your child’s self-confidence, self-esteem and social skills.
We start with child initiated activities and as they become more confident with their surroundings the tasks increase in skill level. During sessions, we use specialised tools and skills– bow saws, hand drills and lighting fires.
